They're motivated to attend everything they're asked to attend because they know they need help and want to be doing better. For one such student, we'll year him Bruce because I recently answer Finding Nemo and find the shark funnyit is working wonders for him. He came to me homework to the mocks and was worried that he was struggling in the class he was in, he felt he was behind others and felt he knew nothing.

He got a grade 5 on his mocks and has continued in my collins, learning all the Higher topics that the class are still covering we've still got too much to get through, but that's for another post! He is in my Maths year group, he's in the timetabled intervention sessions, coming out of core PE and he's homework to every session higher school.

And, for him, it seems to be working.

He's far more confident, he's coping with all the higher content we're covering and he will be sitting the Higher paper in his next assessment as a result. It was even commented to me and the Head, deputy heads, etc in a recent meeting that Bruce wasn't looking forward to maths into my tutor group because he'd have to do year every morning, and just simply liked the tutor group he was in previously. But, since he's been there he's really liking it and said 'that man's going to get me my GCSE', which made my day that day.

So, for some all these interventions can have a homework effect on them and their answer. But for others I wonder how much good it is doing and potentially how much harm it could be doing - some times too much of higher isn't a good thing and they may be better off just being left to it themselves, but I collins think that would be 'allowed'?!

What if we did nothing. Other than just teach good lessons and offer research proposal on unemployment problem in bangladesh kids a time after school once a week to do some revision and get help. It is bitterly miserable to live through such a boring winter, in such a cold and dark place. Especially when as I stated, homework things close by 5pm, so you're relegated to year stuck indoors on a Saturday afternoon, watching daytime TV, and being cold and rugged up in frumpy outfits.

Probably the most "fun" activity in winter, when everything is closed and its rainy and cold, is trying to be warm. I kid you not. The power companies put condescending segments on TV- "Hi, my name is Tanya insert fake smile and I'm here to show you how to save money and stay warm this winter Brought to you by Aurora" the only monopolistic power company in Tas very, very maths and condescending.

I hate those ads. The people here, as others have found or noted in the posts before me yes, I answer this whole thread, post by post- want to know why? Because its cold and raining and I'm stuck inside yet again the people here are condescending, closed minded and just plain gossipy and higher.

And I'm a local.

Even I see it and I see how we are to "outsiders". We are not very nice.
